Silver Spring, MD
Small footprint, multi-zone gym.

Background
This project was a long-term development. It encountered some challenges due to the pandemic and the economic downturn, but the owners and developers remained committed to delivering a quality amenity for their residents, despite the challenges.

The Equipment
We selected a combination of traditional cardio, HIIT cardio, free-weight and traditional strength training, as well as functional and connected fitness options to deliver a well-rounded space that offers something for everyone.
Traditional cardio kept the technology "simple" but the quality high with a TRUE Fitness commercial treadmill, bike, elliptical, and climber. We also included options to meet current trends and demands for free-weight training, like dumbbell weights up to 80lbs, a dedicated free-weight/squat rack, a Smith machine, and more.

Optimizing Space
When working with small rooms, maximizing the space while maintaining safety for the users is a must! For example, we utilized dual-function strength machines to provide multiple workout options in a single footprint. We also aimed to keep the equipment spaced out properly to support a good flow. Since this space does not have any natural light or views to the outside, keeping things open promotes a luxurious and premium feel that residents will love.
